Meta Tags, a walk through guide and example!

Filed Under (SEO Basics) by admin on 14-06-2008

I’m always thinking of the small things when it comes to Optimizing your website. Meta tags are an often overlooked area when you’re developing your first website. Let’s face it the first thing you want to do is ensure your website looks nice. Design and presentation etc.. When in all reality it should be the last thing on your mind. When you first register you domain name you should already have your Meta Tags prepared and ready to implement. You want Google, Yahoo, and MSN to see these tags when they first visit your website. This way what’s cached was your choice and not a mistake that can possibly take months to fix!

Here at seomkt you can see the Meta tags by simply testing the site at a Meta Tag Analyzer website. Many can be found using Google but I use this one here. It’s fast and right to the point. Remember this is a very basic step to take when trying to develop and create an organic flow of free traffic.

Here are the following Meta Tags I used personally at seomkt.

Top Rated Affiliate Programs are hard to find!

Filed Under (Affiliate Program) by admin on 12-06-2008

If you’re reading this, then it’s pretty safe to assume that you are interested in marketing and very interested in making as much money as possible without working too hard. Well, that’s what top rated affiliate programs are for because the only way a program can get to the top of the affiliate world is to provide the affiliates with everything they want and then some. Being proactive in meeting the needs of affiliates pay handsomely, which is why top rated affiliate programs can be counted on to offer the terms that make a marketer’s heart race with excitement.

What are the features of a top rated affiliate program? For starters, such a program offers high commissions. The people behind it know that their products will sell very well and don’t mind giving up a bigger share of the money in order to motivate affiliates and reward their efforts. If you’re spending a couple of hours everyday pondering traffic statistics, thinking up ways to improve your website to get top search engine placement and generating a lot of sales then you deserve those high commissions. And if your conversion rate is high enough, you will be making a lot of money in a short time.

Aside from the high commissions you will need quality affiliate support from the associate program in the shape of free website templates to choose from, free content for your website (or websites) written by professional copywriters, tutorials and guides if you’re only just beginning and lots of information and advice on the niche market you are going to be operating in. Plus, you get access to advanced affiliate tools for keyword research and traffic tracking. Another very important thing to look out for is the way products are sold. If the managers ask you to buy the products and resell it to customers, then you’re walking into a scam.

But you probably know by now that there are no magic buttons to push that can make you a super affiliate in a couple of days. You’ll have to work your way to a position of financial security and you have a lot to learn about how to be a good marketer. But joining a top rated affiliate program goes a long way to making your dreams come true as fast as humanly possible because the sad alternative is to do the same amount of work for less money. And that runs contrary to the fact that you deserve to get as much as possible for your efforts.

Low commissions and small percentages of low prices are highly NOT recommended and working for a greedy bunch of managers is an experience that should be avoided. Why waste time and effort when you can start on the right foot by joining a top rated affiliate program? If some people out there are willing to work for low commissions and others can’t find anything wrong with investing their own money in a business that doesn’t ever pay off, then let them do it. You have other priorities.

Five Brilliant Ideas for Traffic Generation

Filed Under (Affiliate Program) by admin on 10-06-2008

The life of affiliate marketing business depends on traffic. No traffic, no site to exist. It will help you increase your click ratio and sales commissions. Here are the 5 ways to drive visitors to your website:

Blogging - like a web diary where you can write interesting articles for readers. The articles you made can be use to link your readers to your site also known as back links. Back links can help you to improve search engine ranking. Register one of your blogs on www.blogspot.com and Google will promote your blog in 2 days with RSS feeds to gain more traffic.

Forums – a fun way to promote your business where you can post questions and answers to learn a lot and help others. Advertisements are not allowed here but you can display your email signature every time you post.

Viral Marketing - one of the oldest and best forms of marketing. You can give away an e-book on your site and have a couple of links and a full-page ad in the back for your product or service. Grant permission to your readers to give away the book and see this promotion snowball.

Social Marketing – one good example is MySpace. Myspace is now being used as a popular way of marketing products and services.

Article Distribution - a powerful way to promote your business where you can write interesting and informative articles for your readers. It will bring many visitors to your site. If you want to save time, visit www.moreniche.com to get many resources including free weekly content that you can also use for your article distribution.

Avoiding Affiliate Scams

Affiliate marketing helps you in making your business profitable and fun at the same time. The key is choosing the right programs. You can benefit with the good programs either be involved with scams that will not pay you for your hardships and owe you the commission you deserve in the end.

How to avoid scams: The best way to avoid these scams, do your research well. Consider these points before joining:

1. Does the company have good support? Do they answer emails and have valid contact information?

2. Do they have a valid offline address?

3. What % of commission do they pay; 30%-50% is the best.

4. Tracking system - this should be in real time and accurate.

5. Products should be well targeted for your market and of good quality.

Where to research:

1. Forums related to your industry. There are many savvy people who use the forums for reference. You can ask advice from others base on the programs they use.

2. Discussion lists.

3. Look into the program carefully.

4. Put the company name, plus the word scam, into the search engines and see what comes up. Use your own judgment, as sometimes these reviews may not be 100% true.

GOLDEN RULE: Look before you join to prevent being victimized with these scams. It is advisable if you ask other people’s opinions. Do not rush, choose good reliable programs wisely that will give you the profits you want for many years to come.

Improving your websites msn search results!

Filed Under (SEO Basics) by admin on 04-02-2008

It’s been a while since I blogged here at Search Engine Optimization Marketing and today we will discuss the little things you can do in order to generate more search engine traffic! I’m not a professional in any way but I do have trick and techniques I use to develop traffic which I like to share with all my readers. One of the biggest question asked is how do I get myself listed in other search engine besides Google? Well it’s pretty simple and in this blog I’ll explain the steps you need to take. First let discuss msn search. I know for a fact if you don’t do this you’re highly likely to go your whole life and never see a hit from MSN so I suggest you go and do this when you’re done reading the blog.

First visit the following link, http://webmaster.live.com/

From here if you don’t have an account sign up for one and if you do have an account simply log in.
After logging in you should have been sent to the “add a website url” screen. Simply add your url, and e-mail address for contact purposes. I don’t subscribe to the webmasters newsletter but if you’re interested just check the box! After adding your site you should be given an html tag you can add to the header page allowing verification that you in deed do own the website being submitted.

Mind you this technique or service isn’t a guaranteed way to improve msn search engine traffic but none the less it’s an effort on your part in order to start getting listed! I’ve personally always have issues getting traffic from msn and since I did this for http://www.blogengage.com I have already noticed “some” traffic coming from their search engine whereas before I literally got none!

Google Webmaster Tools = SEO Update

Filed Under (SEO Basics) by admin on 23-12-2007

So if you have been following my blogs you would have noticed I recently signed up for Google Webmaster Tools and added most of my websites to their services. Today I will be looking at what has happened so far to date and how it’s benefiting me to do this process. So let’s have quick look at the most noticeable changes in my Google Webmaster account Dashboard
The first thing I noticed was Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Dec 15, 2007. Which means it has now cached all the information here at Search Engine Optimization Marketing, for use when people are searching at Google.com

Let’s move on from here and have a look at the changes that took place in the Diagnostics section specifically the Content Analysis! This is an extremely important part to keep an eye on because f anything is stopping the Googlebot from searching your site they will notify you here. Regarding seomkt it’s all good and I have zero issues with my site!
Let’s now move on to Statistics! In this section you will have many things to look at including Top Search Queries, What GoogleBot sees, and a few other options as well. I personally think only the ones I mentioned are of importance.
Top search queries

In this section you will learn what keywords are generating traffic to your website from google.com. You can look at all the information collected on a week, 2week or monthly basis. I lost the screen shots but I will take some more soon sorry :(.

Marketing your website for success!

I have some good advice I would like to share on how to develop website traffic and new users! I have a few ways and I’ll try and share them all. First you will need to ensure your forums are in perfect working order as you don’t want this new traffic to see a non working forum. Make sure you have the forums set up correctly and also in a non confusing way. Here are some ways to generate and develop new members/users.

#1- Start using Stumble Upon. This site can develop very good traffic for your website but ensure it good content as they will ban you for stumbling your forum names and not topics.

#2- Start Submitting your Forums to Link Directories. Ensure you provide enough information when submitting that you gain the interest of the reader and also ensure you add it to the correct category. Very Important!

#3- Sign up at large forums and immediately (if you can) set your forums signature with a unique tag line linking to your forums.

#4- Try and add quality posts when at other forums. I know this is hard sometimes and doesn’t have to be done all the time. Usually the more specific your answer is the better chance you have of someone actually clicking your signature links.

$5- Purchase forum signature when allowed. Many forums allow their users to sell their forums signature this can also help you develop traffic especially if they are a heavy poster.

#6- Pay for Bloggers to Blog about your site and a “web site Review” These usually cost money but are worth the 10 dollars. (Average price)

#7- Purchase Blog Roll links from Blogger when you can. This is a great form of traffic and you can really focus on your specific target market! I mean if your forums are about Sports look for a Blog site that’s about sports.

I hope this helps your forums develop and build traffic to your site. If you have any more question please feel free to ask away I’m pretty good a marketing websites!

I wanted to add some great Google search terms if you going to look for forums and blogs links to buy. just Google these simple terms

-Links Exchange

-Blog Roll links

-Free link submission

-Buy Trade or Sell Forums

-Advertising Forums

-Link Dirrectories

As you can see searching terms like these will get you access to forums that in the end will result in increase traffic and new members!

Cheers, seomkt

Simple way to generate simple traffic (mkt)

Filed Under (Marketing, Promotion) by admin on 09-12-2007

I recently tried a new way (for me) to generate traffic and it worked really well but I must warn it’s a little time consuming. I’m not too sure about long term as I’m still in the the middle of practicing this technique.

If you’re going to do this you should probably have ’some” spare time on your hands.

Medium: Blogs
Objective: Post quality comments on Blogs in which allow you to leave a url.
End Result: Increase in traffic generated from marketing activities

I’m very serious when I say this. Sure forums have their benefits and you can measure large numbers of traffic in a short periods of time. But when leaving Blog comments you get traffic over a longer period of time. (This is just what I noticed plus I’m far from a statistician) I’m still in the beginning of my experiment but to date it’s proven true.

At a specific website I own I received an average of 200 hits per day over the last 15 days. I can see that specific domain names are giving me a large % of all traffic generated. But if I look closely the sites in which I blogged and commented at are slowing gaining % but it’s taking longer for these blog domains to catch up. Even if forums will always generate more traffic, blog comments are always a good maintain your numbers. (YTD) or (Quarterly)

Even if this doesn’t work out, which it probably won’t considering I would have to post comments @ 50 ++ blogs to equal DP traffic, I’m still none the less generating more traffic for myself by doing both.

More traffic equals a better community and income if that’s your deal.

Cheers

Google Webmaster Tools = SEO

That’s right you read the topic correct! Google Webmaster Tools = SEO

Search Engine Optimization is key to launching any website correctly and Google’s Webmaster Tools are the way to monitor and adjust SEO keywords appropriately. The webmaster tools show exact results when you receive any traffic from a Google search engine. It shows the exact word (s) that an individual searched in order to discover your website.

First things first you will have to sign up for a Google account and when this is complete you proceed to login and select webmaster tools from your landing page. The way you access this information is buy adding your website(s) url to Google’s webmaster dash board page. After time it calculates information allowing you to see data you can base SEO keywords on. This is important because if monitored correctly you can stop using words that aren’t SEO friendly for your site and focus on other keywords that will.

I know this was a short Blog but it’s straight to the point.

If you use this service you will benefit largely and see more traffic generated to your website from search results from Google.

Identifying and selecting your target market!

Filed Under (Marketing) by admin on 18-11-2007

When creating a website or business you have to remember no matter how hard you try you can’t satisfy all the needs of your potential customers. So what you have to do here is focus and concentrate on a specific target market, a specific segment of the whole available market that will offer the most profit from your potential consumers. In short a target market is a group of individuals in which a company and or a website targets its services or products too. The majority of the time this group will have similar interests or characteristics such as age, gender, education, occupation, and or live in the same geographical area.

In theory the similarity of the target market should mean that all the people in this group should respond accordingly to a similar marketing campaign. Remember this is in theory and in reality marketing is extremely competitive and many competitors battle it out for the same set of customers. So when all is said and done the competitor with the best marketing strategy and has the most impact on the target market will win the battle.

When creating your marketing strategy ensure that you’re offering the better price, place, and or promotion then your competitors. If you don’t you’re liable to lose market share and overall sales depending on your product and or service you’re offering to the end consumer.

I hope this helps you understand your target market a little better and also gives you a better understanding of where to focus your energy. Ensure you have selected the proper target market and you’re off to a good start.

Until my next blog!
