Blogging basics has to be going back to writing posts that interest you and will benefit your readers.

From there you can add all the extras, but you have to keep to your main aim… helping people in an area you are passionate about.

Thanks for the geat information Brian. As a brand new blogger I’ll be reading more of your articles…….very valuable and insiteful!! My blog doesn’t have a lot of addons but I’ll certainly keep these tips in mind going forward.

I know you’re right, Brian, but when I started I signed up on every single directory I could find. I get only a trickle of traffic from any one source. The only thing I ditched was EntreCard. I don’t even have ads. (And I’m on Blogger–bad, bad girl.)

As I said, I know you’re right. Please keep on writing these articles and maybe they’ll sink in to my thick head. You r blog looks great, by the way, very elegant.

Optimizing the user experience is one of my top priorities this month. I just removed the Twitter Remote temporarily as I thought it was causing problems but you are right about this one as having an a huge benefit.

A good balance on what widgets to keep should always be in mind.

Nice short post, however, MyBlogLog is a right place to promote a new blog and a good start to create a relationship with other blogger.

MyBlogLog is like Google Analytics only that its more that just provide us a report about our blog’s activities.
