I reached minimum payout with Affiliate Lights

I”m very happy to announce I have successfully reached the minimum payout level with Affiliate Lights. Right now we only have the Blog Engage RSS Service to promote but it’s working and generate profits.

I have 11 sales with Affiliate Lights as opposed to my last article with 6 sales.

In the image below I display my year to date commissions. You will also notice I got commissions from my referral and this is under tier earnings. This means someone I referred to Affiliate Lights has gained a commission and that is my tier commission. All the income in my Affiliate Lights account is recurring meaning this is what I will be paid every month my referrals remain blog engage customers.

I was given this theme from an online blogging friend, entrepreneur and so far I must say I love it. The theme specific options are very unique and allow for easy customization.

The gift was from Keller Hawthorne from fresheventure dot com. She runs two online e-commerce websites and a personal online business blog. Thanks for the gift Keller I really like it.

I wanted to write this article and discuss the possible reasons you’re not making money from online blogging. I’ve been in the industry now for over 2 years and if there’s anything I learned it’s how to make a decent buck online. When considering who you should be using for ppc and affiliate income you have to also take into consideration who your readers are. Perhaps you’re asking why you should consider who your readers are and I must say this is very important question to ask yourself.

It’s a known fact the majority of users use Google Adsense to generate online incomes. As you can see I also use Google here on my blog. Now lets face the facts! If even 50% of the users and readers visiting my blog use Google Adsense they will not click my ads. For one Google tracks their code and they can tell when you click Google ads and for this reason many bloggers are afraid to click a single Google ad.

I bet at this point you’re asking what you should do if the majority of your visitors are bloggers or Google Adsense users. Well you have to look at other alternatives to Google. In my post today using affiliate and referral links I’m going to share with you some other ways I have made hundreds of dollars from visitors.

ClixSense I first started using ClixSence about 3 months ago and haven’t had much success but ti’s starting to pick up not that I’m actually using it on blogengage. None the less if done right ClixSense offers a great program that’s very competitive in it’s market.

MoreNiche I’ve been using more niche for about a year now and have managed to make some great money. Look guys I know you all from blogengage and here on my blog I’m not going to lie to you. America’s Economy Downturn affecting Canadian Businesses more than ever!

This week was extremely hard at work. I’m in Sales and Marketing just in case your haven’t gathered that yet. The market is so slow it’s very scary. I know our Prime Minister says what’s happening in America won’t affect our solid economy but it truly already is. Leads I had over the last few months have turned into dead ends and this has officially been the worse week in my career.

I sell extremely expensive products for Apparel Distribution Industry! I sell Apparel and Footwear Software Solutions that range anywhere from $300,000 – $500,000 dollars per company. We sell advanced ERP, e-Commerce and Warehouse Logistic Systems. What makes our product so unique is all our software is specifically design for the Apparel and Footwear Industry. Everything we do inside our package is designed from the Style, Color, Size and Width concept. We currently have around 60 on staff programmers and 2 locations. One location is in Canada and the other In USA. Canada is the head office and the International office is in the states.

I’m starting to worry if this keeps up I’ll find myself looking for a new job and when the economy is in a downturn it’s not necessarily a good time to look for a new sales and marketing job. Plus I don’t want another job I already have an awesome job! I work for a multi million dollar company that treats its employees fairly good.

I graduated from College about 1.5 years ago and have been working full time since. For one I don’t have enough experience to think about looking for anew job. I fear if I’m released from the company I’ll be stuck working at a shitty job like Wal-Mart or something similar.

I guess my goal over the next few weeks it to work harder, make more calls and reach more people! It’s really hard to stay motivated to make these calls seeing everyone I call is broke or on a spending freeze. Companies that were looking for software have now put off the projects until 2010 and that’s a long time from now!

I know I won’t be released from the company seeing we’re closing another deal right now with an Apparel company I got but the reality that America’s Economy is our economy is all to real this week!

Any suggestions on what I can do to get some leads?

Anyone know of any Apparel companies that are seeking new software?

Since I started SeoMkt I have been using Google analytics. This is a free service offered from Google that allow you to keep track of where your blog traffic is coming from. The coolest thing about analytics as mentioned is the service is %100 free and only costs the price of your website!

Blog Traffic is important to bloggers so keeping track of where the hits are coming from is beneficial for most of us. I once used a service from Godaddy named traffic fact to monitor my blog traffic but it wasn’t free and wasn’t nearly as detailed as Google’s Analytics.

I use this information to see how I’m doing with my blog as a whole. I look at many marketing factors such as what content is being read, what content Google is linking to, what area of the world are my readers visiting from and more!
