Creating your foundation when becoming a pro blogger

Last week I decided I wanted to become a pro blogger. It’s not like I’ve been thinking about it for months or anything I just recently encouraged myself to make the necessary changes. I work hard at what I do online and for this reason I have decided to become a professional blogger. If you think about it for a moment I’m actually not that far away from the overrated title anyways.

As we move forward and grow within our blogging niches we have to remember where we came from. If we don’t know where we came from we cannot determine where we need to be.

I want all my friends and readers that are following me to grab a pencil and paper. In this part of our pro blogging growth we have to set goals we would like to reach. This will help us keep on the right path and not sway off into the wrong direction.

Questions we must ask ourselves

  • Am I ready to fully commit to my blog?
  • Is my blog the right design to satisfy my needs and keep me motivated?
  • Will I be ready to handle the influx in traffic?
  • Am I willing to learn?
  • Am I willing to change?

These are detrimental questions you must answer before we move forward. The next step in our blogging career is huge and we have to make sure we’re ready for the change. You will never be right all the time so get ready to be corrected and more importantly to admit when you’re wrong.

I want you to repeat (out loud) after me

  • The way I blog is wrong or can be improved
  • I can only do things better as I grow
  • I will be more dedicated
  • I’m ready to learn

If you can say all that out loud as of right now then you are ready to become a professional blogger.

I truly believe in order to become a pro blogger we need to start by completing the basics.  I’m going to ask you to do an extra activity for me this week. I will also complete this activity and implement the answers into my next pro blogger article. We need to determine if our foundation is in fact what we need and more importantly what we want. In order to determine this we must answer the following questions.

  • Do I like my current blog theme
  • Do I enjoy the topics I blog about
  • Do I have the ability to promote and market my blog
  • Will I have unique and interesting content to write about

Alright that should get us started in the right direction. Lets work on building the foundation of our blogs and when completed we can move on to our next stage. I look forward to seeing what everyone has to say regaridng these personal questions.

If done correctly we should be able to determine if anything needs to be changed.
