  1. Very interesting Brian. So, what made you begin posting the details of your stats?

Well here on my personal blog I did it to help motivate my readers to start paying closer attention to their SEO and where their traffic is coming from. This way we can help them optimize and take advantage of the medians they they are successful with.

I also like to show with the smallest SEO efforts anyone can generate a little organic traffic.

People think it’s so hard when really it’s nothing… Now to rank for major keywords that’s different but for the new blogger this could be motivational.

  2. I love that idea! There aren’t many SEO mentors who actually put their stats out there and show proof of their successes or failures. Awesome idea Brian!

I used to check my stats almost 5 times a day and I ended up focusing on creating posts for the search engines instead of for the visitors.

When I woke up and started concentrating on providing good content, it seemed my hits got even higher and the fact that I wasn’t checking my analytics so often meant I saw more of a jump in numbers each time I looked which helped me see patterns to the keywords used to get to my site.

great work, it’s admirable that you’re fully open with your readers on how your traffic is shaped.

I still check them daily. I also just started releasing the stats for blog engage too but it’s on that sites blog not this one.

I think for the amount of time and effort I’ve done my blog is doing very well. I still have much growth but it all will happen in due time.

      Thanks for stopping by Andy

Excellent traffic Brian. I guess both blogs compliment each other. Some visitors from your other blog find this one and vice versa.
