Increase your blog traffic

When I first started blogging I didn’t think much about comments or blog traffic. I was mainly concerned about the look of my website and the credibility of my content.

After weeks of blogging I started marketing my website within social communities such as mybloglog, blogcatalog and I just wasn’t getting much of a response. I would spend hours marketing to gain new readers and create back links. Little did I know the entire community was NO Follow and they were out ranking me for my own articles and keywords.

I wasn’t blogging here at the time I was blogging on the Blog Engage Social Blog. Two years have passed and I have the same expectations from blogging now as I did back then. I created Blog Engage to be the exact opposite of these communities. I wanted to create a unique environment for bloggers to meet, share and discuss.

Blog Engage helps new and advanced bloggers to easily find other bloggers with similar interests as them. From this connection you will eventually build relationships with other bloggers and create intellectual conversations with one another.

So if you’re looking for an easy, fun and exciting way to increase your blog traffic make sure to visit us over at blog engage.

Thanks for the great blogging community. I’ve been using blog engage for a couple of months now and I’ve met a couple of bloggers that I wouldn’t have met any other way. A couple of local bloggers in my area is also listed on the network.

Hey AntonRSA that’s pretty cool that you know people within your local area submitting to blogengage. I only know about two people in my area submitting and blogging. I bet as our community grows larger we will start seeing more and more of this.

Mybloglog and blogcatalog are nofollow? I had no idea. Should I drop out of those directories?

no I don’t suggest removing your blogs. It’s a great place to social network I meet a lot of people there. Just know your efforts for organic traffic stay with them and not you. Also the people aren’t so friendly at blogcatalog.

Brian, you know very well what I think about BlogEngage. And your activity, your attempts to promote your community simply amaze.

You are very right about MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog – those are too chaotic and bloated communities, plus – they are “nofollow”. Unfortunately, there is no more chances to fix that, because of the sizes of those communities. I think that they were created in attempt to promote their creators’ names, but not to unit bloggers and simply users.

I hope that BlogEngage will keep its way of doing things the way it does now :)

iWoodpecker thanks for stopping bye and posting a comment. I’m really happy you love the site as much as I do. As days pass we are getting much larger. I like the way we are doing things too and I don’t see it changing anytime soon.
