Hi Brian

I fully agree with you - 10.000 hits and no comments aren't worth anything. Unfortunately, this is often the case when promoting content on social networking websites.

My personal experience is as follows

- Digg and Delicious: almost no feedback;

- StumbleUpon: lots of hits, but no interaction;

- Reddit: some feedback, but nearly no interaction;

- Facebook: some feedback and some interaction;

- Twitter: little feedback and some interaction, mostly a RT;

- BlogEngage: feedback and interaction depend on how active I have recently been in interacting with other BE members.

BR,

[...] Social Networking Websites – By far social networking has developed a new and exciting ways to promote our blogs and increase our traffic. These sites gather many people into one place allowing us to develop a large amount of traffic in a little bit of time! It’s hard to determine what social networks will provide the most consistent traffic so the safest bet is to use the big and well known ones! I’m talking the big boys like digg, stumbleupon, mix, yahoo buzz, and blog engage. [...]
