Well now at least now I know that I am not the only one who suffered when my personal computer crashed. And precisely, we really must have a back up. If not on a weekly basis at least bi-monthly, that way, not all files will be lost. I lost all my files couple of months ago, and man..it really messed up my life for a week or so. So, to avoid things like this, back it up, always. Thanks for sharing it too.

Yes! back things up! back things up! I always used to say I’ll do it, sure just a bit later, and then learned the hard way! Not fun at all…..sounds like you did too. Bet you will never not back up your stuff again! I know I have never forgotten or procrastinated since then. Sorry to hear that though!

I think you can through this fiasco with flying colors all things considered.

Do you ever think about making PDF’s of your posts? Do you think that would be worthwhile?

I’ve installed plugin “WordPress Database Backup”.

It automatically creates backup everyday and sends them to my email.

I feel safe with it

But I’ve need a real backup only once, because of inaccurate WP update..
