I was recently reading about smscoin which is a service being offered to mobile users to send SMS messages to their friends at better rates and more convenient locations around the world.

I found this to be a unique opportunity for our blogging friends to earn from their blogs seeing so many people in this world have cell phones. I think the biggest issue is the cost of sending these text messages.

If you look at your Google analytics and see the majority of your users are visiting using mobile application or phones then I strongly suggest you start using this program.

So if you have a technology blog that is related somewhat to this industry I suggest giving it a try and seeing if you can have success or not. I’m sure if you have the right target market this excellent service will be sold a lot and create you some extra blogging income.

All last week I was thinking that blogging for a living is something I wanted to do. In all reality this is not what I wanted to do I was simply confused. What I want to do is make a living online while blogging about it. In all reality the chances of my blog earning enough money to accommodate my costs of living is unrealistic.

When did I decide this?

This morning, I was sitting at home with my Tim Hortons coffee and I thought to myself wow last Monday’s article title is very misleading to my readers. I cannot make a living from simply blogging I have to do something online that earns me an income. Kristi made some great suggestions in one of her comments stating most people don’t make money from blogging but rather the activities they do online while blogging.

What’s my activity?

The only activity I do online right now to generate a source of income is the Blog Engage RSS Service. This is my key to success. Right now I have 42 paying customers in which use the Blog Engage RSS Service. In order for me to make a living from my online activities I have to increase my customer accounts. I also have to look at ways to ensure I keep my customers happy and retain them for a long period of time.

Where do I go from here

As we move throughout the week I’ll be talking a lot about the RSS Service and it’s benefits. I will also be discussing ways I can increase the programs popularity while getting positive and constructive criticism feedback with you my readers. Some future articles will include video, forum and other online marketing medians.

If I want to start blogging for a living I must increase the amount of money I’m making online. I have a few ways in which I plan on accomplishing this. First I will have to take a look at my current streams of income and determine the best most affective way to increase the generating revenues.

The reality

The bottom line right now is my Debt out weighs the amount of money I’m making online and it’s so substantial that if I was to quit my career I would literally be bankrupt. With that said I have come to the conclusion that I will not be able to be self employed and blogging for a living for a minimum of three more years.

Debt repayment

I figure by the time three years pass theincome from my online activities would have increased and my overall debt reduced. I have OSAP and an SUV payment that is hitting my bank hard right now and both will be paid off in three years.

The outlook

I imagine your thinking three years is a long time when in all reality its a very realistic goal I’m setting for myself. I have taken all the things needed to make an educated assumptions based on my current level of income and debt repayment.

Trust me I was not happy to reach this decision last night as I was hoping it would be reachable at a faster rate. Unless I see a dramatic increase in online income it’s not looking so good. So right now I’m strapped in and ready for the three year roller coaster ride to self employment.

Next step

At this point I only have one thing to do and that is to re evaluate the income sources I currently have and fine ways to increase them. My next few articles will be based on this fact and we will discuss how I can successfully increase the generating income from all my websites.
