I’ll admit I have skimmed before – who hasn’t? But for the most part I actually enjoy reading what others have to say. Despite the sad fact that a lot of people will not read your entire post and are only at your blog for a back link – there are those who do care what you have to say.

Since joining up with Blog Engage I’ve already added 5 more blogs that I visit daily. The authors of those blogs are all knowledgeable in their respected fields and blog daily. I guess I just wanted to take a second and say thanks for the invite – and now I’m going to check out the rest of your site!

Spammer just try to spoil the blogger community who just crazy for link, they have no means what written on the article, they means only the page rank and the keyword text link.

Bloggers work hard to come up with unique content and interesting subjects to blog about. This is why it’s important for us the visitors to read their content and provide a nice comment that help build discussions within the post.

Personally, I welcome people who don’t care about my blog and/or who want to skim. I hate spam, but if someone finds an interesting paragraph and wants to comment on it coherently, that’s fine.

I guess I don’t have a lot of rules for what I think my readers should do on an ethical level — other than not making work for me by spamming, etc. I think it’s MY job to write blog posts that keep a visitor reading and inspires them to comment and come back. If I’ve only influenced someone enough to skim, that’s MY problem.

Yes. Blogging is meant to be a social activity but it is turning into a commercial activity. Its really nice that you’ve set up blogengage to help bloggers meet up and socialize.

Hi iWoodpecker welcome to my blog is this your first comment? I agree with you many bloggers are looking for the fast fix and back link but as you already stated it’s a very poor quality back link so sometiems we have to ask our selves where we raw the line.

I also hope to see you stick around and grow with our social community.

I think the point I was making here is if they don’t care then don’t comment. If they skim and try to comment that is also wrong. I know we are all strapped for time so perhaps in some instances this is okay I don’t know. I guess it’s all up to the blog author.
